Movie Review: Cirkus

Overall, "Cirkus" is a commendable effort, especially given the challenges of filming during the COVID-19 pandemic. The cast, led by Ranveer Singh, Siddarth Jadhav and Sanjay Mishra, does an excellent job bringing the characters to life. However, the lack of opportunity for the talented cast to truly shine is a disappointment.

While the film does inspire a few light moments, it falls short of the laugh riots that we have come to expect from Rohit Shetty movies. As a loose remake of the classic 1982 film "Angoor," "Cirkus" fails to capture the same level of comedic genius.

Despite these flaws, the acting of Jadhav and Mishra is a standout feature of the film. Both actors bring comic timing and a few light moments of authenticity to their roles that elevates the material. It is a shame that the strong cast of the film was not given more opportunities to shine.

In conclusion, while "Cirkus" may not be the funniest film in the Rohit Shetty canon, the performances of Siddarth Jadhav and Sanjay Mishra make it worth watching. The film's admirable motive of keeping the team employed during a difficult time is also a plus.
