Pathan Movie Review: A Disappointing Action Flick Focused More on SRK's Abs Than Intrigue
Pathan is an action-thriller movie that had a lot of potential with its star-studded cast and a promising plot. However, the execution of the film leaves a lot to be desired. The film focuses on the story of two spies, played by Shah Rukh Khan and John Abraham. John Abraham delivers an impressive performance as the ruthless villain, leaving a lasting impact on the audience. Meanwhile, SRK's portrayal of a spy is underwhelming. Instead of portraying a spy, he comes across as a superhero with abs, overshadowing the plot and reducing the spy theme to an afterthought. It seems like the director chose to focus more on showcasing SRK and his physique, rather than building an intriguing spy story. The film features a cameo appearance by Salman Khan, which adds to the star power of the movie. However, his appearance does not have much relevance to the plot, making it more of a distraction than a valuable addition to the story. The stunts and special effects in the film are over-the-top, but unfortunately, they fail to impress. Instead of adding to the excitement of the movie, they come across as cheesy and unconvincing, resulting in a lackluster viewing experience. Furthermore, the chemistry between the two (SRK & Salman Khan) falls short. It's no different between SRk & John, despite having some intense scenes together, the duo fails to create a spark on-screen. The lack of chemistry detracts from the overall impact of the movie. In conclusion, Pathan is a film that fails to deliver on its promise. While John Abraham gives an excellent performance and the star cast is impressive, the weak script, unconvincing action sequences, and lack of chemistry between the leads make it a dull viewing experience. Overall, the film lacks inspiration and originality and fails to live up to its potential.
